I often struggle with where I would place Russell Crowe on my list of top actors working today. He’s definitely in the top 5 and movies like this, with Ryan Gosling, prove why this guy stands the test of time so well. Team these two with director Shane Black and this first RED BAND trailer for The Nice Guys gives you everything you need to know why you’re going to go see this movie… and you will.
Holy shit that was funny. There’s so many awesome moments condensed in three minutes that I can’t help but admit that I’m sold. Also, please note that this trailer is RED BAND. There’s no age gate, for some reason, and that kinda caught me off guard with the underwater scene.
Observations:
- Ryan Gosling can be funny!
- Russell Crowe is naturally anchoring this movie
- The humor in this movie is what was expected and missing from Iron Man 3
- Shane Black now pivots on Iron Man 3 when his name appears in the credits!
