David Oyelowo and director Ava DuVernay have announced they will work together again on a brand new thriller called Heist of Benin. The film marks their first collaboration since the award winning Selma and promises a fresh mix of art, love and restitution set against modern day London.

The announcement came during Canal+ ORIGINAL+ presentation at the Olympic venue in Paris. Studiocanal will finance, distribute and handle international sales for the Heist of Benin film. The studio also plans a global release strategy that will bring the movie to a wide audience.
In addition to acting, Oyelowo will produce the project under his Yoruba Saxon banner. Endurance Media’s Steve Richards and Jake Katofsky join as producers, while Lisa Bruce represents Yoruba Saxon on the production side. Quiñones will serve as executive producer.
