PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie Celebrates Upcoming Release with Dog Lookalike Contests

Paramount is building excitement for the upcoming release of PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie by hosting special dog lookalike contests in New York City and Los Angeles. These events invited fans and their furry companions to celebrate the franchise ahead of its theatrical debut on August 14, 2026.

During the festivities, attendees competed for titles including Best Marshall, Best Chase, Best Rubble, and Best Skye lookalike. Participants also showcased their creativity in a category for the best themed costume inspired by the film. The events provided a fun, community-focused lead-up to the latest big-screen adventure for the popular pups.

A New Dino-Sized Adventure

Directed by Cal Brunker, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Bob Barlen, the film follows the team after a mysterious storm leaves them stranded on a tropical island inhabited by dinosaurs. There, they meet Rex, a pup who has become an expert on the prehistoric creatures. The stakes rise when their archrival, Mayor Humdinger, begins reckless mining operations that threaten to trigger a dormant volcano, forcing the team into their most significant rescue mission yet.

The film features an extensive voice cast, including Carter Young, Mckenna Grace, Terry Crews, Meredith MacNeill, Ron Pardo, Jennifer Hudson, Hayden Chemberlen, Fortune Feimster, Jameela Jamil, Rain Janjua, Bill Nye, Paris Hilton, Lucien Duncan-Reid, William Desrosiers, Nylan Parthipan, Snoop Dogg, and Henry Bolan.

Why This Matters for Fans

The PAW Patrol franchise has consistently proven its ability to translate its television success into engaging cinematic experiences. By hosting interactive events like these lookalike contests, the studio is leaning into the deep connection young fans have with the individual characters. These activations serve as a reminder of the brand’s enduring popularity and its ability to create excitement beyond the screen, ensuring that the anticipation for the film’s theatrical arrival remains high.

The production is presented by Paramount Animation, Nickelodeon Movies, and Spin Master Entertainment. It is produced by Jennifer Dodge, Laura Clunie, and Toni Stevens, with Ronnen Harary serving as executive producer. The film is based on the original television series created by Keith Chapman.

Tickets for the upcoming release are currently available for purchase through the official movie website.
