Fans of Studio Ghibli have a new destination to mark on their calendars. For the first time ever, the official merchandise shop Donguri Republic is opening a location in the United States. The limited-time pop-up store will be located at the Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance, California, bringing a slice of the studio’s magic to the West Coast.
Beginning June 23, 2026, visitors can explore a retail space designed to mirror the warmth and wonder of the studio’s legendary films. The store will feature wood-inspired interiors and whimsical displays, including a life-sized Totoro waiting at a bus stop. The shop will carry over 400 officially licensed products inspired by classics such as My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki’s Delivery Service, Spirited Away, and Howl’s Moving Castle.
This retail experience offers U.S. fans a rare opportunity to purchase exclusive items that were previously only available in Japan and other parts of Asia. The pop-up is scheduled to remain open through December 31, 2026. To mark the grand opening, the store is offering a limited-edition tote bag for guests who spend $100 or more, while supplies last. Additionally, fans attending screenings during the upcoming Studio Ghibli Fest 2026 can receive exclusive film-style bookmarks with qualifying purchases.
The arrival of an official retail destination is a significant milestone for the studio’s dedicated fanbase in the U.S. By providing a physical space to engage with the worlds of films like Princess Mononoke and The Boy and the Heron, the pop-up serves as more than just a store, acting as a hub for collectors and families to celebrate the studio’s enduring legacy.
