Duplicity TV Spot Online

Somehow this went unnoticed, but the Superbowl TV Spot for Duplicity managed to elude me. Thankfully the guys at First Showing got it up to share with us.

They are really selling Julia Robert’s sexual appeal in this TV Spot, which of course I have no problem with. The Pretty Woman actress was due for another trip into the limelight and I think a movie like this will remind us why we loved her to begin with.

And for good measure the TV Spot finishes with Robert’s trademarked laugh.

  1. This looks like a crappy cash in copy cat movie of Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

I have to say, there’s no comparison to the chemistry and looks of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

I think I will pass unless the reviews are stellar.

    1. Just to add, I thought Mr. and Mrs. Smith looked dumb at first too. I was bored one night and had a copy of it on my PSP and was very impressed. Perhaps it had to do with low expectations.

I was interested enough to rent it and watch it with my wife.

I now own it on Blu-ray so I guess it grew on me.

For some reason I don’t see this living up to that especially since the formula seems so similar. Who knows though.

I don’t care for Julia Roberts but I do find Clive Owen to a be a compelling actor.

  2. I’m glad Julia Roberts is back, she is really enjoyable on screen, even if its on a flimsy action/comedy/thriller-ish like this. And I also like the pairing of these two!
    will definitely see

  3. This actually looks good, how can someone can compare this with the piece of S*** that was Disaster Movie??!!

Roberts and Owen have great chemistry together. I’ll be watching this in theatres.

  4. Pretty Woman was 19 years ago. And please speak for yourself, I never loved her. Let’s face it, she’s not that pretty. Her nose is too pointy which makes her nostrils too big. Her ears are huge. Her mouth is too thin and very wide and she has way too many teeth. She does have very beautiful eyes, although shifty at times, still very beautiful. Lets face it she can act! And thats why I go to the movies, to see good acting in good stories. This one
