  1. Jesus Christ.

    Yesyesyesyesyes. <3333

I freakin’ can’t wait until this comes out. I know I shouldn’t have clicked the play button on that trailer. Now I’m itching for more.

  2. Hmmm… Sorry everyone but my thoughts … Meh.

I thought it looked more like a sequel to National Treasure 20 years on than Indiana Jones.

Not happy Jan. Hopefully the next trailer will change my mind and shed some more light.

Mediocre at best. I’m nowhere near there yet.

  3. The shot of the cars racing looks like complete and utter shit. What the fuck happened to Lucas. Remember Star Wars with no CGI. Remember Speilberg with a malfunctioning Robot shark. Thank you computers for making the world so accessible and fucking up film in the process.

  4. I hope this movie isnt just a nostalgic scene after scene tribute to the other films and full of “Im too old for this s**t” jokes. I get that the character has aged and all, but if you go back and watch Raiders, it was a serious introduction to this epic character. I want to see THAT character. Even though hes older he should still be THAT guy. Not a grumpy old “I used to be able to do that” guy, this is the movies and He is Indiana Jones, he can still do it.

Hopefully this is not Indy fumbleing around and the kid has to get the job done. Im hoping Indy is rusty at the beginning but hits his stride and resumes destroying nazis like he sposed ta do.

  5. YES YES YES!!! :D So awesome, it just looks amazing.

Raiders of the Lost Ark was my grand fathers all time fav movie. I use to watch it with him all the time as a kid, along with all the other Indy films. That trailer just brought back so many fond memories of him.

I can’t wait to see this thing. WOOT!

  6. No NO NO No NO

    Is something wrong.

The firt part AWESOME. Pure Indy stuff. Love it.

And The Music… Make fell on my knees and pray…

    But.

Second part of the trailer… What the Fung is all that CGI! Thats no Indy. No.

I still be there. Its Indy. But hate all that CGI.

  7. The over analyzing is getting old folks, the trailer looks great, and I’m gonna trust Spielberg & Lucas and just sit back and enjoy it.
To the idiot who said Ford looks “old”, Um, big clue here: HE IS, and so is the character he’s playing! That does not make the final film a bad thing! I seem to remember Sean Connery MAKING The Untouchables and adding a great deal of vigor to The last Crusade! Sheesh……

  8. I hate the new direction movies are taking with everything being CGI. It takes the fun and realness out of the movie. Anything involved with George Lucas will always look like crap now. Besides that, I am still excited for Indy.

  9. I was transformed back into my 12year-old self when I watched this trailer. I never thought that would happen.

I was sceptical all the way with this, but fuck it.
May 22nd can’t came fast enough and Spielberg can show those Pirates-losers how to do great sequels.
This will be the biggest movie of this year, no doubt.
I hope it ends up at the number 1 spot of my favorite films of 2008.
I’m gonna go watch that trailer again now.

  10. Comparing this trailer to Phantom Menace is just silly. Does anyone remember that PM was directed by George Lucas(who hadn’t directed a film in 20 years) and it starred Jake Lloyd. Indiana Jones is directed by Steven Spielberg who has been consistently good for over thirty years. Spielberg is much better with actors and he is one of the great storytellers of our time. Does anyone think that Phantom Menace would not of bee a better film in Mr. Spielberg’s hands.

  11. Was it just me or was I seeing WAYYYY too much CGI work in there for my liking? Half the effects looked CGI’d!

And I fail to see where the film looks like the other ones do, as they were promising in the Variety article last month. Hopefully when I see more shots and higher-quality trailers I’ll be proved wrong.

  12. I am 57 years old and cannot tell you the last time I was excited to go and see a movie in the theater, this one gets my vote by the trailer alone. No extreme gore, good action, entertaining at it’s best!!!!

  13. i thought the main reason people were skeptical about transformers was the fact michael bay, one of the worst directors on the planet, was directing it.

    anyway….this trailer looks fucking great.

perfect….labouf will be fine…he can hardly be any worse then short round, willie or sean connery who were all awful.

this film is going to be fucking huge……can’t wait…fuck everything else.

  14. Why are Winstone’s pants CG? Look at the scene where he says “this isn’t going to be easy”. Now watch his waist line… Watch how his belly is totally CGd. WHY?

  15. I’m going to be skeptical all the way until the reviews because David Koepp is writing it and i think he’s a pretty rubbish writer most of the time. I’m sure the film will be fun (the set piece in the warehouse looks fantastic) but i don’t know it will be great.

  16. “and you can’t really make a hardcore final decision on a film based solely on two minutes of footage”

Obviously, Kristina, you dont know how the mind of a fanboy works. They can make hardcore final decisions based on a single picture, a quote, or even a meaningless gesture that an actor or director might make.
Fanboys need very little to make hardcore final decisions.

Heath Ledger was gonna make a horrible Joker based on his comment that he usually didnt like superhero movies.
Now, most everyone thinks he nailed it.

Daniel Craig was gonna make a horrible James Bond because he had blond hair. The hue of his hair is all it took for them to make a hardcore final decision.
Now, almost everyone loved him as the character.

Transformers was gonna be horrible because Optimus had flames…
You see where I’m going with this.

  17. I had to watch it four times in a row and each time I felt a little more excited. It has all the elements of the past movies and Harrison Ford still radiates Indy!

I am sure I will watch the trailer a few more times and will see it on the big screen when I take the kiddo to see The Spikerwick Chronicles.

  18. Batman, Iron Man and now Indy in his final movie? Boy has the potential to be the best ever after some pretty boring summer movies of late! Let’s face it the last few summers have really disappointed…for awhile!!

I hope all these movies rock!! Indy looks great and it just gave me goosebumps like Indy did all those years ago when I was just a little lad! Long live Indy!!!

  19. Ahhh….very classic…very well done. I had goosebumps the entire trailer.

I am looking forward to this movie more than any other movie this year.

I tip my hat to Steven and George.

  20. Wait a minute…wait a minute…This actually looks like it will work. OH MY FU*KING GOD!!!!!!!!

( On second note, I though Shia Labou was his son in the movie. )

  21. Mattvillain beat me to it. I really dug the trailer, and my hopes have been lifted, but that Phantom Menace trailer looked great, and we know what happened there…

And after watching it a few more times, Shia really does stick out, and not in a good way. There’s a shot of him standing with his eyes bugged-out near the middle, and he looks retarded. Yes, the shot is probably out of context, and you can’t really make a hardcore final decision on a film based solely on two minutes of footage, but that shot, combined with the fact that it seems like they are trying to hide the fact that he’s even in the movie(one line in the trailer that was badly delivered IMHO) raises my suspicions. I have no beef against The Beef like some other online folks seem to. I thought that he saved Transformers from being a real mess, and I liked Disturbia more than I should have due to his performance in it. I just worry that having him in the movie will distract from what people are coming to see: Indy whippin’ it good:) That being said, the trailer did it’s job. I went from being mildly interested to knowing that my ass is in a chair opening day. Maybe earlier than that, if I can get into a screening.

  22. Not impressed either. Ford looks old and moves like he’s careful not to break anything. Reminds me of Clint Eastwood in Blood Work, pretending he’s not too old for this crap yet.

  23. What a great little teaser! I can’t believe it’ll be ready for May 2-4, but YA BABY! I’m so there!

“Not as easy as it used to be”… Oh, Mr. Ford. Age ain’t nothin’ but a number!

    Hey John.
I guess “I told you so” is a little late coming, but now that the trailer’s out, I guess Lucas pulled it off… LOL

  24. I got goosebumps. It was on my list of movies to see, but wasn’t at the top. I believe it moved to the forefront. The trailer is better than the Dark Knight and better than Iron Man’s official trailer, but not it’s Superbowl ad. Make sense?

  25. I don’t think “Damn thought that was closer” is any cheesier than “The Pen is mightier than the sword!” All the movies had those lines, but, yes, I get you’re point.

Trailer looked fantastic. I was worried at first, when they were doing the flash backs of the previous movies, cuz I thought that this trailer might just be made of those, as sometimes they are. And then the shadow of him, against the car, putting his hat back on, sent some goose pimples down my arm.

    Yippee! He’s back!!

  26. Awesome! Can’t wait for this. I’m very impressed!! I didn’t know it’d look so great. Harrison-Spielberg still know how to kick ass after all these years. Bliss.

  27. In response to Donald

I that the, ‘Damn thought that was closer’ line was true genius and a perfect reflection of how the character has aged. Not cheesy at all!

Can’t wait but I’m still holding full judgement to when I see the film.

  28. Trailer looks kick-ass.. .Only worry I have is Shia LaBeouf. i think I was in the minority that would Disturbia to be a truly aweful movie… and I just find the kid a little grating. We shall see. Hopefully his involvement will be minimal and it shall be highly Harrison-centric

  29. Over all not bad. Just hope they don’t too many cheesy lines like in Temple of Doom. The ‘damn thought that was closer’ was just a little high on the cheese scale for me…

  30. This is such a great looking trailer. I am so excited and cant wait. I truely hope the cinemas will make marathons so we can see all four movies right after another. That would be so great.

  31. Oh I am going to love this. This might actually make it onto the list of movies I actually see in the theater, as opposed to waiting for DVD to watch on the Home Theater. Right along with Iron Man and The Dark Knight.

If this is good, I have to say I want it to be a new trilogy.
