I’ve been saying it here on The Movie Blog for months… ever since the official title of Die Hard 4 was announced. “Die Hard: Live Free or Die Hard” is one of the stupidest, moronic, americanism narcissistic pandering title I’ve ever seen in my life. Dumb. So much so, that I never refer to it as such… I just always, and always will, call it “Die Hard 4”. Well… maybe now I’ll call it Die Hard 4.0
Apparently that’s what they’re going to be calling the movie everywhere else. Die Hard 4.0 is the official title of the film in almost everywhere but the US. So why do they get the better title? And the better poster?

Well is the title in Canada Live Free or Die Hard or is it 4.0? You just mentioned the US as having LFODH and then “almost everywhere else” it’s 4.0…context clues would tell you that you get the shit title like we do, but since you live in Canada…I was pointing out that you don’t live in the States…but I digress you’re right it doesn’t matter where we live we are all going to get this potentially awful movie…I hope I am wrong…but the whole scene where the car almost crushes them totally brings back how much it’s going to be TOO over the top like the 3rd one was…the series lost it’s gritty edge after the second one.
Heh yeah I saw the trailer for this in the cinema the other day and was surprised to see it called Die Hard 4.0.

The poster is kind of cool, and although “Die Hard 4.0” is a better title than “Live free or die hard” it’s still stupid with the “.0”. This is a movie, and not some piece of software.
