New Over The Hedge Trailer

Over The Hedge TrailerIt seems like these days whenever I see an new 3D animated film, it only reaffirms that Pixar is the ONLY game in town. They are so far above everyone else that it’s almost laughable. Now, having said that, I just caught the new Over the Hedge trailer, and while it still doesn’t hold a candle to anything done by Pixar, it looks pretty damn cute.

Here’s a synopsis for the film:

Spring has sprung, and Verne and his woodland friends awaken from their long winter’s nap to discover that a tall, green “thing” has mysteriously cropped up right through the middle of their home. Enter RJ, an opportunistic raccoon, who explains that the world beyond the hedge is the “gateway to the good life” where peculiar creatures called humans live to eat, rather than eat to live.

With voice talent like Bruce Willis, Garry Shandling, Steve Carell and William Shatner (yes thats right… William Fircken Shanter baby!) this thing has more than caught my attention. And this new Over The Hedge trailer solidifies my attention. It should also be said that this trailer is a lot better than the first one.

  1. i like pixar better but, i will make a prediction!

i think this movie is good, right friggin’ good.

while i was watching the trailer i noticed 3 things:

    1. how good the animation was.

    2. how good the voice acting was.

    3. how well the voices matched each character’s design.

based on these three things, i think this is going to be a good movie.

  2. Hmmmm

Maybe its my age (28) but as far as I am concerned Dreamworks is the place for me, doesn’t hold a candle to Pixar? Camp you are killing me today.

Shrek alone puts Dreamworks on equal footing with Pixar, and it looks like Over the Hedge is another winner, with Shrek 3 and Madagascar 2 on the way….if it were a prize fight I would have a hard time betting on one or the other.
