  1. I was expecting Doug or John to “whip it out” when they started talking about Alba near the end.. She is hot, but thereare hotter women(Zeta-Jones)

also King Kong is the only licensed movie title out for 360 so far.

    Great Show

  2. Star Wars won because it’s an online poll open to everyone. Fan websites like theforce.net will just post something like “Look, there’s another movie of the year poll. Go swamp it.” Everyone else might not even care enough to vote, if they’ve heard of it in the first place.

If there were a Harry Potter or a Lord of the Rings movie in there, then there would’ve been a contest.

  3. 1) I bet Joss Whedon will bring back Firefly/Serinity in the future. The Serinity film has done well overseas, and, I was thinking, if films do well oversas but not in the US, there still is hope. I mean, you know, we had those silly Highlander sequel films in the 90’s- only made because they were hits abroad. If freaking Highlander can do it…

Also, I think the Serinity DVD will be boffo. A new discovery for those who ignored it the first time around…I suspect DVD sequels, if nothing else. Or a new life on sci-fi channel. Something…

    2) Revenge Of The Sith as “movie of the year”. I can see why- it is the last of the Star Wars films, it was the best of the new trilogy. But then I hear about Star Wars TV, I’m still miffed tha Lucas will not release the original films (or even ‘the original scenes’ as extras) …and yeah, Sith was great. I voted for “Batman”, because I didn’t see “March Of The Penguins” among the choices. Anti-Fowl Bastards!

But this is a freaking joke. Can’t we wait until the end of the year? By the way, I’m crossing my fingers that Universal/Imagine does not give up, and have a re-release of “Cinderella Man” to remind Oscar voters that quality matters, And I also predict that Sith will get its butt kicked not by Batman, but by King Kong, as far as tech awards go.

    3) Alba – not to mistaken for a low calorie wieght loss drink- can be a lot better than some of the projects she has done in the past. But put her in a picture with Paul Walker who is a far worse actor, and people are shocked that ‘Into The Blue’ went into the toilet with a flush and a swirl?

    4) Enough with the Transformers stuff- Micheal Bay’s involved, right? That’s enough for me to say ‘meh’. Give me the Micronauts. That’s right- I’m anti-Transformer. Sorry.

    5) Conan. It would be boffo if the powers that be did something like an R rated Final Fantasy Spirits Without, (heh Heh) but unless it has ‘Heavy Metal’ on it, most execs think cartoons/animation is for a younger set. My hopes for story material are high, but, I’m going to make some enemies and burn bridges with this next statement…

One step above ‘Down, You Demon Dogs!” Thundaar.

    ooh my bad
