Honestly, I didn’t see this one coming. Despite all the tabloid rumblings, I thought this couple looked pretty tight (not to mention the best looking couple on the planet… any offspring would have been genetically perfect). However, it appears that Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston have called it quits and have officially separated.
The couple was married in 2000 and had been dating since 1998. A publicist for Pitt made the following announcement:
“We would like to announce that after seven years together we have decided to formally separate. For those who follow these sorts of things, we would like to explain that our separation is not the result of any speculation reported by the tabloid media. This decision is the result of much thoughtful consideration.”
Wow… sounds like a business arrangement was just dissolved. Man, I even thought Pitt’s appearance on Friends was the best episode the show ever had.
Rumours are that Pitt discovered Aniston was spending too much time reading The Movie Blog and constantly fawning over my picture… however it should be mentioned that those rumours have yet to be confirmed.
I don’t know which is more sad, the fact that these two are splitting up… or that I actually thought it was worth posting about. You be the judge.
I think before u start talking u have to consider urself in Jenifer Aniston’s position.As for Angelina,she is a bicth and a nasty one for that matter.She goes for any guy available and i bet it with u,she will soon go for another guy now after Brad becos she is not a girl that wants just a guy but she wants many of them at once.She is just immature she does not know what life is all about and life is not about destroying peoples marriage but life is about helping people out with their problems.If u do not agree with me just think about this word WHAT GO AROUND COMES AROUND.Think about that.
Oh yeah, something else. Braddie also seems to do something common to adolescent girls and insecure women when dealing with men they are attracted to: that is to adopt the likes, preferences and lifestyle of those he is attracted to when they seem more powerful emotionally. Hence, he is now suddenly campaigner and philanthroper in the style of his latest crush. Aniston may gripe about paparazzi, as many celebrities have begun to do, due to growing excesses which put them at risk, but she definitely seems to be the truly more well adjusted of the two when it comes to her own judgement and sense of self. After all, SHE broke up a marriage to BRAD PITT, of all people, rather than submit herself to a man who plays the white hatted gentleman while wearing a dark suit while he woos another behind her back. He is a joke.
After reading Mark’s ‘end of story’ comment, I would have to ask if this marriage expert has ever actually been married! It is never a one issue deal when marriage partners break up; generally it is an accumulation of issues that have gone unresolved. Also, the news that Aniston overheard a lovey-dovey conversation between Pitt and Jolie on the phone is certainly possible. He acted much the same after breaking up with Paltrow. He tends to move on quickly, seeming to think more with his little head than his big one. He seems to like to be thought of as a romantic, genuinely commitable type of guy, but I would suggest that is his pride, and self-deceit. Obviously, he thinks with his jeans.

Jen and Brad are individuals who will never visit this site and i’m sure can make their own decisions with a greater degree of understanding than the people who have posted their comments here. What i don’t understand is how you can presume to understand the workings of thier marriage from the tabloid trash you’ve read!
I think that Jennifer Aniston is barren and Brad wants his child to be biological not adopt. And Jennifer is saying she wants to “produce” movies now just to save face that she cannot conceive. And Angelina Jolie made it appear that she was so selfless by adopting a child when the truth is she selfishly wanted to adopt so that she didn’t end up with stretch marks and a saggy little tummy pouch because of her movie career. Smart Huh? And women like Angelina Jolie and CZJ (Catherine Zeta Jones) and fashion model Carolyn Murphy are “10’s” and Giselle Bunchen is a 9.5, she gets a deduction because her face is skinny and too long, not that cute and her eyes are too close together. Jessica Simpson is a “9” she gets a deduction for legs that are too short and a flat butt. Jessica Alba is an “8.5” And Britney Spears is an “8” (legs too stubbby and she has a huge forehead and eyes that turn down” and” Lately Britney has dropped down to a “6” Jennifer Aniston is a “7”. But we know that men love “7’s” and “8’s” because they are more approachable “girl next door” types and are not as intimidating as the “10’s” or “”9’s”
I think Brad is better off without Jen, he can do alot better then her, I would like to see him with Angelina Jolie I think she is the greatest,and she has the biggest heart, I just love her, I think they would be the perfect match, alot better then Brad and Jen, I think Jen is so uptight,and thinks of only herself and her career,Brad is ready for a family, I think he would be much happier with Angelina.
I’m Cambodian, and I look up to Angelina Jolie, and I am so honored that she’s adopted a Cambodian boy. In my eyes, she is great to be helping my people at home. I was born in New Jersey, but to know someone with such great power, money, talent and beauty can have such a good heart, I am more than greatful to have Angelina help Cambodia.. And I know people in other countries feel the same way.She totally deserves Brad because he is just as great as she is (with UNICEF). He’s a freakin god and she’s a freakin goddess!
i was devestated when i found out that Bard and Jennifer split up. i am a huge fan of Brad and although i admit that Brad deserves someone way better than Jennifer(no offense to jen)i loved them together and i thought of them as Hollywood’s hottest and most perfect couple!!!! i just wish and hope that they go back to each other!!! but anyway if they think that this is the best thing for them then…

Honestly Jennifer Aniston is not even an official dimepiece at best she is like 7.8 I mean I always thought brad pitt could have done better. A true dime piece is someone like Cathy zeta jones. I really feel bad that they have separated… I think the 2 of them should go on a long vacation and get to know each other again… I really believe that they are meant to be together for life..
I got really tired of hearing Aniston gripe about the paparazzi in every interview which to me seems to be a subtext for saying “I don’t really enjoy being Mrs. Brad Pitt” because God knows she wouldn’t have a film career if it weren’t for Brad. Jeez – she griped all the time. DO SOMETHING with your celebrity. You could actually “see it coming” if you read some of their comments about their marriage. And when one part of a couple goes to Africa to help with kids while the other partner parties it up in London, uh, uh. It’s over because for an American, celebrity or no, going to Africa is HUGE. The Brits go in and out of Africa all the time but not Americans. And you saw what happened when Angelina Jolie went to Africa and South East Asia.
But in the end it seems simple – they’re not soul mates and she wants a movie career only while he wants a wife who wants a movie career and a family as well who won’t gripe about being a celebrity, someone more like a Catherine Zeta- Jones or an Angelina Jolie.

I’ll admit that I like the gossip, but take each piece with a grain of salt. I didn’t think the rumors were true, but then came the press release. (How sad is it that you have to release a statement on your personal life?)
Brad and Jennifer appeared to be a happy couple, I always hoped they stayed together, but alas sometimes even the happiest of people slit up.
I’m hoping they’ll stay together, but having been in an unhappy relationship you have to do what is best for yourself.

Doubt that Jen and Brad will ever get this but here are my two cents. Marriage is a lot of hard wowrk and it is certainly worth saving. They should keep trying to save their marriage. The results are well worth it.
i think it is terrible that everyone is in there business it is there own life and i don’t think anyone should bother them. i have been married for 7 years and marriage is not easy and i think everyone has to give it a chance because the grass i never greener on the other side for anyone unless you are really really unhappy. i have a 3 year old and he is the best thing that could have happened to our relationship he is grest kids make a family i hope jennifer and brad make it cause it is worth it best of luck kelly

I also thought that these two seemed to have a shot. Of course the question I ask myself every time a marriage between extremely popular actors is announced is: Why bother?.
It’s like these marriages should be measured in dog-years… 6 months is equivalent to 3 years, a whole year of marriage is like 7.
You can’t stay married if:
A. You’re a hot looking, waaaay popular actor (male or female).
B. You live in LA and are staying in the nightlife/party circle.
I think it’s just too damned tempting. Even if you were married to Jennifer Aniston, after a while the “woah” factor would wear off, and it would be difficult to ignore the 20 year unknown ultra-hotties throwing themselves at you.

Mmm…There’s various debates about this and stars privacy, etc. Not so sure it’s all that important to their movie careers though.
I say good luck to them in their lives, must be a really hard blow to them and it’s a shame that their personal lives together didn’t work out so well.
On the statement, I think they have to put it like that so as to avoid misquotes and reading into lines, etc. I really do imagine it’s terribly hard for a star in their private life, and yes they are in a privilaged position, in the spotlight, etc. Still, it’s hard to live a private life like that.

Anyway since both are actors I suppose it’s a privilege for them both to be mentioned here. I heard that Aniston was extremely jealous with Angelina Jolie, Pitt’s co-star in Mr and Mrs Smith and that might have been the icing on the cake for Aniston.
I didnt see this coming either, I thought they will stay together forever after having found comfort in one another 7 years ago. Oh well, some good things just never ever last. What a shame, they didnt even do a movie together.
