Apple TV has officially debuted the trailer for its upcoming Australian thriller series Last Seen. The gripping new drama features Gotham Award winner Patrick Brammall in the lead role and is set to make its global premiere on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
The series follows police detective Ian Ridley, whose life was shattered 11 years ago when his young daughter, Maggie, vanished. Now working as a police dispatcher, Ridley refuses to accept that his daughter is gone forever. His world is upended when he receives a distress call from a teenage girl he is convinced is Maggie, leading him on a desperate mission to reunite his family regardless of the consequences.
This project is particularly notable for its creative pedigree, as it is adapted from the CWA John Creasey Dagger Award-winning book The Dispatcher by Ryan David Jahn. The series is directed and executive produced by Emmy Award-nominated filmmaker Christian Schwochow, with the adaptation handled by writer and executive producer Kris Mrksa. The production was filmed entirely on location in Victoria, Australia.
A Star-Studded Cast and Production
Beyond the central performance by Brammall, the series boasts an impressive ensemble cast. Joining him are Maxine Peake, Brendan Cowell, Daniel Henshall, Zahra Newman, Jessica Wren, and Tobias Muhafidin. The production also introduces newcomer Chloe Jean Lourdes to audiences.
