The Family Guy Stewie spin-off is officially taking shape. Hulu, Fox, and 20th Television Animation have announced the main voice cast for the highly anticipated animated series, which follows the iconic character after his expulsion from preschool.
Seth MacFarlane will return to voice Stewie Griffin while also taking on the role of a new character named Bean. He is joined by Mike Henry, who reprises his role as Bruce and also voices BJ, Stewie’s new classmate.
New Cast Members and Characters
The series has expanded its roster with several notable additions. Kenan Thompson joins the cast as Royal, a friend who remains skeptical of Stewie’s wild plans. Vanessa Bayer voices Morgan, a carefree teacher, while Melissa O’Neil plays Wanda, an intelligent student who becomes a love interest for Stewie. Jessica Lowe rounds out the group as Caroline, an aspiring influencer and classroom rival, and Aaron Lee voices Skunk, a 100-year-old class turtle with unique theories.
What to Expect from the Spin-off
The show follows Stewie as he navigates a new school environment. Using his signature inventions, he leads his classmates on adventures through space and time. The project, created by MacFarlane and Kirker Butler, received a two-season order from Fox earlier this year. It is scheduled to premiere during the 2027-28 television season, with episodes available to stream the following day on Hulu.
This expansion of the franchise offers a fresh look at one of television’s most enduring characters. By shifting the setting to a new school, the series provides a playground for new dynamics and comedic interactions that differ from the established Family Guy formula.
