Star Detective Precure! The Movie Reveals Official Title and Visual

The official website for the upcoming feature film based on the 23rd and current Star Detective Precure! TV series has revealed its main visual and official title. The film is titled Eiga Meitantei Precure! Fushigina Niwa to Futari no Himitsu, which translates to Star Detective Precure! The Movie: The Mysterious Garden and the Secret of the Two.

Guest Appearances and Production Details

The newly released visual confirms that characters from the two most recent series, Wonderful Precure! and You and Idol Precure, will make guest appearances. This continues the established tradition in the franchise where the current team joins forces with characters from the previous two installments. The film is the 35th entry in the Precure feature film series and is scheduled to release in Japan on September 18, 2026.

Hanako Ueda, who served as an episode director for Wonderful Precure! and You and Idol Precure, is directing the project. The screenplay is written by Yoshimi Narita, known for her work on Precure Splash Star and Yes! Precure 5. Emiko Yoshimoto, the character designer for Witchy Precure!, is attached as the character designer and chief animation director.

Plot and Franchise Context

The story follows Anna and her friends as they investigate the mysterious X-mark Incident, where people find their belongings unusable. Their investigation leads them to a location called Karin’s Garden, where they meet a girl named Karin and her guardian fairy, Alan. The situation becomes complicated when a Dame-dame appears in the peaceful garden.

This film expansion follows the ongoing TV series, which is currently available to international audiences. Crunchyroll is currently streaming the Star Detective Precure! TV anime for members in North America, South America, Europe, and other regions. The series follows 14-year-old Anna Akechi, who time-slips from 2027 to 1999 and teams up with a spirited girl named Mikuru to solve cases as the Detective Precure.
