  1. @George – “I think people do take him a bit to serious as well.”

    I guess his previous movies coupled with his slow pacing leads people to believe that we’re meant to take everything he does 100% seriously. Here’s his appearance on Entourage, which shows he is capable of making fun of himself;

    John – Good call on Highlander 2 as one of the worst movies ever. What an unbelievable mess that was. I’ve since seen some people try to defend the ‘Renegade Cut’ of H2 as half-way decent. Anybody seen that?

  2. Personally i think Megan Fox looks very tranny looking, just because she overdoes her make-up, lipstick, eye lash things, plump lips, etc. etc.. Her face just doesn’t look pretty to me.

  3. The reason i don’t like Megan Fox is her face, she looks really tranny. her lips are too big, and she has too much make-up on all the time.

  4. Jackl not only did it make more it cost less than half of what it cost to make hulk so I think shaymanalanam will be fine.

    His next film is already underway with a $150 million budget so hes fine.

    I think people do take him a bit to serious as well.

  5. The Shamhammer thing again… Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t think Lady in the Water was a good movie, but do people honestly think that Shyamalan cast himself in LatW because he actually believes he is the greatest writer in the world who is destined to save humanity? C’mon folks. That was obviously meant as a joke.

    Shammy has done similar things in poking fun at his supposed out-of-control ego. There was a fake documentary released around the time of The Village where he deliberately made himself look like an asshat (instructing people not to make eye contact with him etc…). He just wants to make movies his way, and even if they’re not great, so what? Would you rather every movie was designed by the studio-hacks who are concerned that a slightly kooky director might be about to lose them money?

    Oh, The Happening beat The Incredible Hulk in the international box office over the weekend, so the Shamhammer ain’t going away any time soon.

  6. I know this is not the topic but King Kong did make about $550 million dollars worldwide. When that kind of money is considered a disappointment then the world truly is insane. It was disappointing if you thought it was going to make Return of the King type money but $550 million is nothing to sneeze at.

  7. Hey John i will be glad if you discuss about Hulk not doing well at boxoffice.

    Ya you heard that right!! The new hulk movie is dropping badly on weekdays too. The drop for Tuesday from Monday was 20% i.e. higher than Hulk (2003) and Fantastic four 2. On its opening weekend too the movie had dropped on saturday which was bigger than FF2 drop.

    I simply don’t understand why the movie is performing weakly and not getting good legs even with the good WOM. It would be a cool if you discuss this topic in todays podcast.

    I am starting to think that the general audience don’t like movies in which the central character is a giant ape or who turns into a giant monster etc. That is one of the reasons why King Kong might have dissapointed at the boxoffice in 2005.
