Skid Marks Trailer

With all the hype and excitement of the “return to the 80’s style horror” movie craze going on (I admit, I’m a fan of that), it’s also good to see that some studios are taking a bit of a chance at a “Return to 80’s style comedy” as well. Take for example “Skid Marks“.

Watching this Skid Marks trailer reminds me a lot of watching the old Police Academy movies with your classic comedy character types and as an indie flick it has a lot more wiggle room to do some over the top stuff as well. I like it! Skid Marks open October 5th. Check it out.

  1. Skid Marks will go down as the Revenge of the Nerds or Animal House for this generation. With lines a plenty to quote and characters and situations too zany to attempt repeating here, all I can say is that you’re in for laugh after guilty laugh. I’m sure some critics will get on here and attempt to rip on this film, but the people in the theater were laughing out loud. I haven’t heard, or laughed for that matter, like this since Bad Santa. For a small budget indie comedy, you’ll get your money’s worth with this film. David Leo Shultz plays the character of Neil, and there is no doubt this kid is talented and going to make it big as a comedic actor. If you liked Super Troopers, Superbad, or Bad Santa – you’ll like Skid Marks.

  2. I watched a festival copy of this movie. The movie wasn’t finished and we still laughed our ass off. If we could have voted to put the film in the fest, we would have. This movie will be a hit when it breaks…mark my words. This is the next Super Troopers if they get the editing and music right.

  3. Watched it. Loved it for the genre that its meant for. I think this is much funnier than super troopers, even if there aren’t any MAJOR names, there are a few names in this movie that we will see in the future. Way funnier than balls of fury, just without the fancy graphics and matrix affects. this has potential if it had more of a budget…but i still walked out of there laughing…

  4. Can the director make comments?? Here’s goes anyway – Anyone that thinks SKID MARKS is a remake of “Mother, Juggs and Speed” – couldn’t be more wrong. I recently dusted off a copy and screened it as a refresher – and I got news for ya – it ain’t much of a comedy.
Give us a try before you count us out!

  5. I’ll be looking for this one when it comes out. Looks pretty funny to me. Also they made some low-budget shorts related to two of the characters, Neil and Bob, on youtube. I wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss this film just because it doesn’t have Will Farell or Bill Cosby.
