  1. Spiderman 3:
I’m a fan of non-cgi in films, mostly because with cgi, you can always tell that it’s fake. The use of miniature buildings in SP3 will be so much better than cgi buildings, making it that much more realistic. I think it’ll look better than SP2.

    Flags of our Fathers:
I don’t know what the big hoopla is always about with minority groups. I’m not saying that to take anything away from them or their heroics, but to be honest, 99% of the time the stuff going on with extras I overlook, so don’t care that they’re all portrayed by white guys. The movie for me is to focus more on the main actors and the message being presented, not what extra is picking his nose or handing off a piece of metal. I can see the point of making an issue if the white actor is supposed to be portraying a black soldier, but that’s not the case. There’s too much pining in Hollywood for attention.

    Fraggle Rock:
Bad idea…Not going to work on the big screen. ‘Nuf said.

    Talladega Nights – Blue Ray:
This war is the dumbest reiteration of Beta-Max vs VHS and will do nothing to make the industry better. WOW… I’m gonna get 30hrs of bonus material I’m never gonna watch! WHOOPY!!! You want me to move to the next phase of technology? Make a better movie.

    The Island:
What a waste of a law suit, but then again, people have to make money in the US, so why work at it when you can sue? To think, someone can make a claim that an idea was stolen from them, yet have they ever figured out that there are no original ideas left when it comes to story telling? Most movies and stories come from something in the 10 000 year history of man, no matter how far-fetched you think it is. And from the sound of things, The Island differes just enough from the supposed original story that it’s going to get thrown out anyways.

    Die Hard 4:
I always thought that Timothy guy was Josh Duhamel! HA…Those two should do a movie together cuz they sure could pass for twins! Isn’t Timothy always playing an asshole in his movies? Good actor, but I gotta see some more diversity from him.

The last 2 things: I haven’t watched any of the Saw movies, so don’t care that there’s going to be a 4th. Not a waste of money, as I’m sure their ROI will be significant. And Schwimmer? I like the guy, but he’s gotta do everything in his power to move away from acting like Ross (Friends). Otherwise, he’ll be relegated to voice-overs in animated movies forever!

  2. david schwimmer..totally underrated….ross is the funniest character on friends by a mile…he is that shows george costanza….except when they do the sappy stuff with rachel etc as all that stuff was awful but he is hilarious on friends. and go and see duane hopwood is you think he can’t act….the guy is great in it….

  3. The Clonus Horror is nothing; the end of “Island was right out of Isimov’s “I,Robot”; Saw 4 isn’t a surprise as LGF and Twisted will go to the well until it runs dry.

Die Hard 4? Casting the villian is good news (although the pic on the site shows him and the 24 gal from ‘Girl Next Door’, and the caption thus doesn’t ‘go’ with the picture) and that’s great. I won’t be in the theatre seat though. The lack of Bonnie irritated me in the previous ‘Die Hard’. The same principal applies here.

I wish them well, and god speed.

As for “Flags”, that’s a very good point made. A better point is that’s not what the film is about.

  4. That Clonus Horror stuff is old news. It’s been going around since “The Island” came out theatrically.

And dont make the Schwimmer angry. You wouldnt like the Schimmer when he’s angry.
