  1. I just want to mention how much I HATE you guys. It is now clear to me that the Audio Edition has become part of beginning my work day, everyday. If there is no Audio Edition I “panic” and keep revisiting this site hoping “is it available now?” “can I download it now?” “what’s taking them so long?”

I feel like a drug addict who can’t find a fix!

Therefore I BLAME YOU, John and Doug.

    There…I’ve said it…I feel better.

Keep up the good work guys. It’s a matter of time themovieblog.com hits it big.

  2. I cant stop laughing!

You always crack me up Doug, would love to watch your stand up show one of these days. Is the London gig ever happening?

I share Darren’s sentiments about the “Within a Minute” documentary or all SW documentaries for that matter. I am in awe to all the guys behind the camera, what actually drove these talented men and women in Lucasfilm to do what they do best is what I want to know.

  3. 1) Jamie Foxx, who also appeared in “Ali”, as Iron Mike?

Nice idea, but we already had not only a “Tyson” TV movie a few years back which highlighted his rise and fall (Spawn’s Michael Jai White played him), but also the well recieved HBO cable film biopic about promoter Don King with Ving Rhames.

Catch these on DVD and the old fights on ESPN Classics channel. Let sleeping dogs lie.

    2) Sith DVD.

Not a surprise. Aside from the planned TV show in the next few years, it’s no wonder they pulled out all the stops. I still wish Lucas would re-issue the original trilogy as they were first seen. (I also would have accepted them as ‘alternate’ or ‘deleted scenes’ on the DVDs)

But I really love the extras when it isn’t all hype and/or fluff pieces, the leftovers from VH1 Goes To The Movies or some BS like that. I’m into behind the camera stuff as much, perhaps more so, than what or who is in front of the camera.

I love it when the docs actually show you something really neat, and not just patting themselves on the back.

    3) Remember a comedian-actor by the name of Andew ‘Dice’ Clay? I recently was watching the TV series ‘Crime Story’ on DVD, and I recalled a joke he did about Pee Wee Herman/Paul Rubens on his first comedy album.

“I’m glad they booked ’em. Some of you think ‘big deal’. Well, ho’d you like it if some goof behind you was buttering your popcorn?”

  4. I want to clarify something. I don’t know if this got thru to you guys, but I was trying to tell you Pee Wee’s Playhouse was cancelled before the whole masturbating scandal.

“The news media went into a frenzy and the scandal marked the near-death of the character “Pee-wee Herman.” Although the series Pee-wee’s Playhouse had already ended by that time, CBS reacted by dropping its reruns from their lineup.”

And, here’s the complete 2nd quote i used..

“Reubens was arrested again in 2002 in connection with an investigation involving child pornography, which coincided with an unrelated child pornography case involving actor Jeffrey Jones. Public news stories concerning his case cast doubt upon the suggestion that Reubens intentionally acquired child pornography, as he stated that he was a collector of “erotic artwork” and that he had a sizable collection of vintage erotica with samples dating back to the 18th century. On March 22, 2004, child pornography charges against him were dropped after he pleaded guilty to a separate “misdemeanor obscenity charge.”

I was just informing you guys what was the 2nd arrest for.
