The Movie Blog: Audio Edition Vol. 22

Greetings and salutations folks! We’re back again with our 22nd installment of The Audio Edition. This week we’re joined by my world traveler buddy Cameron Fernihough who is just getting ready to leave or Hong Kong.

This week, we discuss our thoughts on Kung-Fu Huslte, why Japanese horror films are better than North American Horror films, Joss Whedon’s new Serenity trailer, Tim Allen’s new flick Zoom’s Academy, the concept for a Se7en sequel and the release of Final Cut Pro 5… and why Macs suck :)

All this and much more. Download the show here.

  1. Why did Firefly only last one season?

    It was on Fox.

It suffered like Wonderfalls, Strange Luck, Space Above and Beyond, Freakylinks, Andy Richter Controls the Universe, The Tick, Harsh Realm…etc …etc..ad nauseum.

  2. Just on the issue of dubbing, I was in Japan for a period of 5 months, and with all the major releases, they release subtitled versions and dubbed versions. So, I saw Matrix Revolutions there with subtitles and I couldn’t imagine seeing it dubbed in Japanese. However, why can’t they do this in the US? Not dubbed releases, but why can’t they release Japanese films with subtitles? I agree that remakes of Japanese Horror destroy the ‘horror’ of the story and hopefully the movie people will realise this soon.
