Brooke Shields Joins Hearts of Heroes as Host for Season 8

The Emmy-nominated series Hearts of Heroes is returning for its eighth season with a fresh face at the helm. Hearst Media Production Group announced that award-winning actress and entrepreneur Brooke Shields will serve as the host for the upcoming season, which highlights the work of first responders and everyday heroes across the country.

Shields will join the show’s long-time disaster-recovery expert and first-responder advocate Sheldon Yellen. Together, the pair will present new stories of heroic rescues, with Yellen providing technical context and joining first responders during training demonstrations. The new season is scheduled to premiere on Saturday, July 11, and will air on ABC stations nationwide as part of the Weekend Adventure educational and informational programming block.

A New Chapter for the Series

The addition of Shields brings a high-profile presence to a series that has already garnered significant recognition, including a Daytime Emmy nomination and a Parents’ Choice Award. Over its first seven seasons, the program has featured nearly 220 stories and over 750 first responders, ranging from police officers and firefighters to military personnel.

For fans of the series, this transition marks a notable shift in the show’s presentation. By pairing Shields with Yellen, the production aims to continue its mission of spotlighting life-saving information while maintaining the impactful storytelling that has defined the program’s run. Viewers are encouraged to check their local listings for specific air times in their respective markets.
