Good thoughts Rico, there are a bunch of movies that ruin a great storyline with an obscure ending. This sort of fell into that category. It is a compelling enough movie to warrant checking out. Lots of mystery and intrigue. Go into it with no expectation, and let the movie surprise you, I’m sure it will.

Looking forward to seeing this film. You hit on an important point with what’s wrong with a lot of films out there today, and stories in general. Nowadays, it’s already hard to find something that offers more than just fluff, which is why this movie caught my attention when I saw the trailer. But as which turns out to be the case more often than not, even with an interesting concept and a strong start, most stories end up falling short when they approach that third act, unable to deliver the pay off we have been lead to expect. I’ll still take the time to watch Cloverfield, but now I know not to set my expectations to high~
