You’re not the only one. Cars is a good movie. It’s just the least awesome of the best Pixar films.

Sure you can complain about the use of such voice actors as the cable guy, despite him fitting the part perfectly, but story overcomes that completely. There was just as much deep story telling in Cars as there was most any other Pixar movie. Such story as elements dealing with youth and seniors in regard to age and interaction between the two, also dealing with the past being forgotten as technology moves the world forward. That’s just two elements of the story that I loved, and there are plenty more. My only concern is that from the trailer some of the depth of story that made the original charming is being lost to make a more adventurous, keep-the-children-entertained story. Looking forward to seeing what the sequel holds and if it can live up to the first in my eyes.
