Yeah, Family Guy isn’t that great. I think South Park summed up pretty acurately why the show sucks.

Futurama was canceled years ago. Its not “still around” It, like Family Guy are getting the “un-canceled” treatment.

Also, Dollhouse won’t suffer from cutting costs because its not about effects very much at all.

Taking effects away from TSCC would have made it far worse. There was no saving it.

I like where they left it off. The show wasn’t canon, but it works.

Manipulate Rodney?

I don’t agree with that, not one bit. I also find it curious as to why you say “I know its popular for the kiddies to hate on Fox” and then you follow it with a slight bit of it on your own. They don’t manipulate the news, Rodney. They report on it and comment on it from both right and left. They will always bring up fair and honest points.

You should leave FoxNews out of it.

There is, however, an equal, if not more hatred for Fox head exec Tom Rothman; I agree there is too much internet related hate of the man and his greenlight choices. If he actually made a correct choice-and I’m sure he has- would we ever notice it?

As for Futurerama, I’m also surprised that’s still around. I thought it was gone ages ago. But since it is an animated show, don’t they have to plan and/or animate shows in advance because it is an animated series? So maybe that “26” could be the last “26”? (But again, I thought the show was dead ages ago)

Also, I’d think they’d hide behind 24 now that Prison Break is done…I actually feel that and Dollhouse will be the better panels of the FoxTV bunch*
Of course, Katee will be there, so that’s an extra incentive for the 24 panel.

(*why not have a few show from the FX cable channel as well? Doesn’t anyone watch ‘Rescue Me’ anymore?)

American Idol isn’t as expensive as most scripted shows and it is live. Other than that, it brings in the ratings.

I’m not entirely surprised Terminator got canned; the show wasn’t terrible, but I found it more enjoyable when I DVRd it- because I despised the opening “three minute flashback” and the abrupt act breaks, where it seemed there was for every 13 minutes of commercials, there was 6 minutes of each act- usually set in no more than two locations. Frustrating!

But then, there was the sad truth: the budget was high and it didn’t bring in enough ratings.

Yes, Dollhouse didn’t have strong ratings either, but that show had to cut back on costs in order to stick around.

A Family Guy movie? Awesome, and I can’t wait for the “Empire Strikes Back” and “Return of the Jedi” spoofs.

I’m dying to see what the whole Futurama thing is about.

What do they mean by “triumphant return” anyway? That they’re going to keep making the strait to DVD movies or is it actually coming back to TV as a series again?

Damn, I didn’t even know it got canned. They almost canceled it after it’s first season, just because they felt like it. Fox hardly gives any of their shows a chance, unless it’s that American Idol crap.

I think it’s cuz allot of comic book peeps are also Family Guy fans, and well, the rest writes it’s self. Makes since to me.

LOL, Family Guy is now more popular and loved then it’s probably ever been. Be a hater all you want, but this show is gonna be around for a long time to come.

In fact, last I heard Seth MacFarlane is working on a Family Guy movie for the big screen and they’re planning to do spoofs of both The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, like they did with A New Hope.
