This entire CGI concept is weaky. It's Capt. Weak! Inception actually used real sets along with the CGI. THis is nothing more than a glorified cartoon that won't be shot in 3d yet packaged that way. IF Dennis Hopper was alive I would feed him coke and brown booze and send him on a kill mission to those who create these films in hollywood because the great actors are dying or dead. Long live Super16mm and the return of the great actor!!!!!!!!!!!

it was stated the pixar should do it. i just recently watched the incredibles again...an amazing movie! i'm in awe every time i watch it. probably one of the most complete movies that has come out in a long time. anyway this is about jl. for those that enjoy cgi will dig this move. i'm one of those. that final fantasy advent children movie was pretty good. i had no idea what was going on but the action was damn good. i've always said any good jl movie should have those involved with the cartoon series involved. the writing on those shows and their ability to write for ensemble casts was pretty good. as far as the cgi. i would prefer it not be as cartoony as the incredibles but it does not have to be as photorealistic as the matrix skit. all in all, i don't think cgi would be a bad idea & kevin conrad as batman should be demanded as much as the original optimus prime was.

@ Jason Presti
the fx used in Superman Returns were mostly subtle ones (outside of the flying sequences & plane save) & not the blatant lightshows most people are conditioned to expect these days. if you look for them, there are many to see. as for the 200 mil plus budget, i still think they factored in the cost of global promotion into those numbers.

@ Campea
after hearing your nowlive podcast earlier, i would definitely 'pumped' for the JLA now. you know you are ;-)

The problem is if they do this they will try to make it look photorealistic, and if they try to do that it will not look good. The comment above about making it look like Alex Ross doesn't really make sense if you think about it, because one of the main reasons people love Ross's art is because it looks like real life. So the way to make it look like his art is to do it in live action! The only problem this would solve would be the Christian Bale problem. Otherwise it is all disadvantage and no advantage. (It could also cost more while eliminating most of the audience that would go to a live action version.)

If they want to go all out with 2-D animation I will be excited, otherwise give me live action!

(and George Miller!)

I must be among the minority who spun 180 degrees the other direction. I was hoping to see a JLA movie, but have ZERO interest in a CGI movie. I just don't think they look good. Might as well be old-school animation to me.

Very disappointing.

I agree totally here also. CGI is the way to go and the only way we are going to experience The Justice League the way it should be.

Movie Companies recently have become cheap when it comes to the cost of comic book movies AND in their scope.

They claim to have spent like $200 million on Superman Returns and the movie looked like they spent $60 million. Seriously it looked mehas far as effects go.

Both Fantastic Four movies should have been epic films but had very low budgets for what you would expect and it showed.

Don't get me started on Ghost Rider! the action scenes in GR looked like they were straight out of Mortal Kombat...Annihilation!

It is not that they aren't capable of doing a great JLA movie right now, I just have not seen ANY commitment on the movie companies part to make it right Now!

We have seen what rushed superhero movies turn out like(Cough Xmen 3 cough).

They have all the time in the world to make a live action JLA.
