The story follows the Grim Reaper and the Devil as they meet at a three-day destination wedding. While they arrive at the event to sow their own respective forms of chaos, the two supernatural entities end up falling in love after a chance collision. The script for the film was written by Noga Pnueli, known for her work on the time-travel romantic comedy Meet Cute.

The production is backed by Radio Silence, with Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin serving as executive producers.
