I agree with the casting of this film which played largely into the characters the actors. Jonah Hill is known for his out there persona which gave the character Efraim Diveroli, a great sense of lively hood and excitement which Miles Teller playing David Packouz can play off of with his much more calm and sensible personality to give a very comical and entertaining give and take between the two characters. I also agree with all the setting environments looking how they we imagine them such as the military base, Iraq, and the pentagon. Where my opinion differs on the film is the amount of truth. Obviously the film must be built up to add excitement but the film is also based off of a true story but I feel hollywood went overboard with this. I believe they should stick to a more realistic portrayal of the film. Much of the film was a comedy and I feel they could have played off of that more versus cranking up the action to a point where viewers no longer think they are actually watching a movie based off of a true story. Danger was an issue for the real life arms dealers but they were never under fire like the movie portrayed, also David Packouz did not have a girlfriend at this time either so she is another fictional aspect added to the film. I feel as thought the main concept of the film should be more accurate to the real story which is about to young stoners in their twenties that got in way over their heads with a 300 million dollar contract deal with the government. I feel the film could very easily have stayed more true to the actual story and stuck to it being a comedy versus an action thriller.
