Never turn your back on a Sith Lord. Darth Maul, who was last seen in the animated series “The Clone Wars” has not been seen or mentioned for quite a while. The Star Wars Rebels show has been the successor to the prior series and has taken the opportunity to resolve a lot of story lines left open when The Clone Wars ended and is even brining back the big red baddie in the upcoming 3rd season. Maul famously survived being cut in half by Obi Wan Kenobi at the end of “The Phantom Menace” and went on to wreak terror in the republic years later. It’s been recently suggested, and possibly confirmed, that all of The Clone Wars is part of the official Star Wars cannon and we will likely see characters appear in the upcoming films.
Which leads one to wonder… Is Maul still alive in The Force Awakens? How about at least during the original trilogy? Is it possible for him to appear in Rogue One?
