Being a 20 year old female it goes without saying that I was more than excited when I first witnessed for my very own eyes the trailer for “Magic Mike”. I was instantly messaging my friends, pre-ordering tickets and watching youtube videos over and over. Soon I found myself sitting in a theatre packed with women, and one male- He was a good sport might I add, in the front row. Unfortunately preordering tickets do not guarantee you a great seat, but I enjoyed every minute of it.

The amount of skin and the extremely attractive male cast softened the blow from the plot line that made me a nervous wreck. It gave me anxiety. Still to this day, I am unaware as to whether it was the unnecessary lingering of frames on Cody Horns less than charismatic facial expressions, or the drug dazed scenes that made we want to take a shower. Or perhaps I was just not interested in anything else besides the image of Matthew McConaughey’s unreal body; add a cowboy hat and backless chaps and you’ve got an image forever burned in my mind- But hey, Im not complaining.

“Magic Mike” was recently released on DVD and you know every lady will have that dvd in their player until they are sick of seeing beautiful men. What makes the DVD even better is the fast-forward through awkward parts button, or the rewind over and over and over again function, or my personal favourite–the pause and zoom and drool option.

Ladies will enjoy this movie until something better comes along, and let’s face it, That won’t be for a while. There are big shoes to fill, you know what they say about big feet… ;)
