First Look: Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis in The Campaign

Today we get a first look at Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis in The Campaign (Courtesy of EW). There is only one picture but you can definitely see that Ferrell and Galifianakis are rival politicians.

Ferrell has impersonated our previous President for quite some time so I expect him to portray the role of a southern politician who is lacking in the intelligence department. Galifianakis has a very “type-cast” humor so I suspect they will find a way to incorporate that into his character. We’re most likely going to see two political characters battling each other from the opposite ends of the stupidity spectrum. I would also expect that normal political hijinks would be touched on in this film such as, sex scandals, mud-slinging ads, and a lot of smiling and shaking hands.

About Ryan

First and foremost, Ryan Brown is a fan. He has been an avid fan of both the theater and cinema since an early age and his passion for both has been continually growing ever since. When dissecting a film, he focuses on all elements of film-making including some fan/cult factors. He believes that character development is the foundation of a good film and usually starts his analysis of a film from there moving forward. His writing style may be influenced by his background of narrative and argumentative studies in the subject, but he tends to enjoy a more conversational style to better interact with the readers, unlike some other pretentious and pompous writers.
