I mean, The Dark Knight Rises takes place eight years after the events of The Dark Knight, according to Nolan, and remember, Batman sacrificed his good image to spare the good image of Harvey Dent in The Dark Knight. So, chances are, Bruce Wayne has been laying low for these past eight years, only coming out as Batman to tackle petty crime in the shadows on occasion, doing his best to not draw attention to himeself. So, chances are, he’s really seen no reason to upgrade the batsuit that much, if at all. Just my theory, I could very well be wrong, but that’s just my two cents.

Yeah pretty much. Now it looks like a corportate logo and that Batman wants to be sure everyone sees it. I’m sure there a trademark logo on it but it’s too small to see.

Hell, at this point Nolan should have gone full BATMAN BEYOND and make it red; it’s pretty much how I imagine the Beyond suit would look like in a live action movie anyway.
