Moneyball Trailer is Online

ET featured the trailer for the baseball biopic of the Oakland A’s manager Bille Beane called Moneyball.

Sit through a little celeb gossip banter to see the trailer here:

The movie will chronicle how statistic crunching changed how players are ranked in Baseball, as a limited budget buys Oakland a winning team.

I have been looking forward to this movie for a while – even with Jonah Hill as the nerdy number cruncher. That role was originally going to go to nerdy comedian Dimiti Martin.

I don’t like Jonah Hill much at all. Mostly because he is always the same character. This looks like he is still playing the insecure underdog, but at least this time he seems to be less the comedic centerpoint, which has me interested again. They replaced a comedian with a comic actor for what looks like a mostly serious role.

  1. The screenplay is being written by Aaron Sorkin–I think that’s the best thing going for this movie right now, but the worst is definitely Jonah Hill–he’s not terrible, but I’m not thrilled to see him part of this film.
