Alex Pettyfer joins “Magic Mike”

This thing is really going to happen, eh? Well, we knew that Channing Tatum and Steven Soderbergh seemed pretty serious about this Magic Mike stuff and now they’re taking it to the next level. They’ve cast a young Tatum and found him in Pettyfer.

Now comes word that Alex Pettyfer (I Am Number Four) has joined the cast. He will play a young stripper, a character based on the real-life experiences of Tatum, who stripped before his acting career launched.

Man this whole thing has “epic” written all over it. With the lead in place it’s only a matter of time before we start finding more names attached to this project, and I can’t help but be intrigued at what could be in store. I don’t even know what genre they’re aiming for at this point. Is it a Comedy? Drama? Dramedy? Biopic? Who knows, but I can’t wait to find out.

  1. Why? I dont get it…..Just why are they making this movie? A film based on the life experiances of Channing Tatum? Who and the hell is Channing Tatum to warrant a biopic? Cuz all I know about him is that hes been in few good movies, and a decent amount of shitty ones.Honestly though I dont mind him as an actor, but why a movie based on this dudes life? It better be the most epic male stripper movie ever.
