Mortal Kombat: Legacy Episode 2

GET OVER HERE! SIT DOWN! WATCH THIS EPISODE!!! Wanna find out what’s next for Sonya, Jax, and Kano? ‘Mortal Kombat: Legacy’ Episode 2 is up for your, any my, viewing pleasure.

THAT’S HOW KANO’S EYE GOT F’D UP!?! REALLY!? A F’N PUNCH?! The actual surgery was cool, but I’m curious to know if Jax already had metal in his hands. I really liked Jeri Ryan in this weeks installment as she had a few moments that were particularly ‘badass’. I actually didnt enjoy more of the fight sequences as much as the first episode. It still seems like the action moves a bit too slow at times and too obviously choreographed.

  1. I really like these webisodes, I also would like them to be a bit longer but they seem to be spending quite a bit on these websisodes so making them longer could mean stretching the budget, which would make it worse. I know some people are calling the eye punching silly or unbelievable but it really felt like a mortal kombat kinda thing, I know I was all like “ohhhh!….coooool” haha The slow motion shots were cool especially with the ash floating in the air. The only complaint I really have is agreeing with some of the other people about the fighting looking too choreographed, for example at 2min 29sec it looked pretty amature.

  2. Very well done, its a shame these are only web episodes because this would make one hell of a good full feature length movie. One can only hope that this effort is a teaser that will lead to a full length movie.

As for the fight scenes, i actually like them andthought they were well acted. As another mentioned i would much rather have slo mo than that ridiculous shaky camera mode. The setting was displayed great and felt right.

I cant wait for all of the episodes to be online so i an string them together and watch all at once. As a big film fan i can only hope that there is a production studio and or producer out there that will see t his and realize that this has the potential for gold. The first two movies produced were ok at best but quite hokey and were really made for kids. This effort has such huge potential.

Looking forward to next Tuesday for episode 3.

    Cheers

  3. I was wondering how he was going to lose that eye. Pretty gruesome and a little unbelievable. Maybe, like Anthony said, he already had metal in his hands. That would explain the odd items they were digging out of his eye socket.

I wonder if this is going to take on a mystical element as we start to introduce the other characters.

  4. i like where they are going with this, butthe episodes are toooooooooo short!!! it feals just like a tease, they should have made them like 30 mins long or so. once again, i like what i see so far, good way to put kanos laser eye! cant wait to see Cyrax! Scorpion n Sub Zero!

  5. Like Darren says this gives the chance to build up the mythology of MK instead of just dumping it on you all at once (like the movies). Two episodes in and we’ve only seen four of the many characters of the MK universe. That’s a good thing.

  6. Knocking the eye out…nice.
    Putting in new eye…nice.

Two dudes getting up and fighting after explosion…not nice.
Another explosion after the fight…not nice.

Building up the mythology? Getting there.
HATE slo mo shots though. Drive me bananas.
