I really liked the music and the special effects are probably just a tease for what is to come. The first trailer releases are usually a little reserved. Then they release a little bit more until opening to build momentum. So the fact that this trailer looks so appealing bodes well for the film. It will be interesting to see what they do with the story line and what kind of mutants they focus on. I love these X-Men films and hopefully this will not disappoint.

I agree 420Band, I agree. X-men origins Wolverine, for all purposes is dead. It’s one of Logan’s false memory implants. It never really happened and isn’t apart of movie cannon.

Nixon, buddy I don’t know about that one. I’m hyped for this movie too. Mostly due to the bad ass trailer, but top Dark Knight,I don’t know about that one. DK isn’t only a bad ass superhero movie, it’s a kick ass movie period. It’ll be a long time before any Superhero movie will rise to that caliber. I don’t even think Nolan will do it with Dark Knight Rises. The Dark Knight damn near made 600 million domestically, and made over a billion world wide. Most Superhero movies fall about 150 million dollars short of DK, making around 300-410 million domestically. I don’t think any of the super hero movies coming out will crack 310 million domestically. We’ll see though. It’s going to be a great year for Superhero movies though. We just won’t get any Dark Knight quality stuff.

Fox is making this, the Marvel studio logo comes up because it’s a Marvel property. Marvel doesn’t have a real big hand in it like they do on Iron Man, Thor and Cap. These properties they have the movie rights to so Marvel Studio’s are making them. 20th Century Fox still has the movie rights to X-men and they ain’t giving that cash cow away for sometime. This is a Matthew Vaughn Directed and Bryan Singer Produced pic. That’s why it’ll be good and get back to what we expect from our X-men movie franchise.

Marvel’s doing this??!! I had no idea. I thought it was still completely in the hands of the studio that produced the other movies. Call me bias but if Marvel is making a movie, I definitely give them the benefit of the doubt. I mean it’s not like they have a long track record but so far…so good. If they can make Thor (whom I believe to be one of the most ridiculously corny way out there comic heroes ever created) awesome then I will truly be sold on their abilities to make a bad ass comic movie every single time.

If Thor ends up being great, I will be totally sold on this movie. The tone of the trailer is great but I stopped letting myself get fooled by trailers ever since Planet of the Apes. And then of course Spidey 3. UGH! I hate even saying that movie title.

But anyway, the trailer looked great….buuuut I’d have to see more. But definitely MUCH better and MUCH different from what I was expecting.
