Seriously!!!

You ALL need to check him out! He is an extremely talented actor. I'm a bit shocked, mostly because of No Country For Old Men. That is one of the BEST movies from the last five years!

and don't forget his brief cameo in "Collateral"- he was the mobster who hired Vincent (Tom Cruise) who Max (Jamie Foxx) had to pretend to be in the club in order to get the replacement USB drive.

Okay hang on, there is simply no need for that patronising tone.
I grew up seeing bond go into space, have all these crazy gadgets, be amazingly smart and charming, shag EVERY WOMAN EVER, and in general just be awesome and amazing at everything. Even in Daniel craigs version, he's just too exceptional to be real. People watch these films to see that as well you know.
You clearly stated that you know the movies are going to be different from the book, and that the character has been different on screen, yet you insist on telling us to "Read the fucking book".

Simply uncalled for. I will keep the oppinion I've always maintained. Flawed or not, he's still an exceptional over the top badass.

Oh and He will make a grate villain I don't know if Mendez is the Bond type of filmmaker but hey did have some interesting action sequences in Road to Perdition. Forster did not pull it off he should stick with Drama action can only be directed well by and elite few.

Bond is only a ridiculous bad ass from the second half of Connery's career and ended with Brosnan. Creig is the bond from the books not in looks but in his character. Bond is full of flaws and not perfect but he does his best and always puts out. Yes film is and should be a different vision from the book. But i do not like to hear people mention bond do over the top action. If you believe that is what bond is about than read the fucking book.

Guys!

The Sea Inside?

No Country for old men?

Cristina-Barcelona?

WTF?

this guy is the real deal-if there's an actor out there now-a-days that can rival the greats of old (and getting old) like Deniro, Pachino, Hoffman, Eastwood, etc. HE'S IT.

This wants me to see another Bond movie now (not a fan of Craigs Bond)
just because my Bond growing up was (in this order) Roger Moore, then Sean Connery (never say never) then Timothy Dalton and then finally Remington Steele. after the long break, A Blonde Bond threw me off a bit.

Don't worry, I haven't seen much of his work either. But this news does sound intriguing, and I await the final news that says he (hopefully) has taken the role. The more I hear about this new Bond film, the more I feel excited.
