They don’t rely on gore as much as Western ghost movies do. Instead, they play with you mind to make you jumpy.
I wasn’t a fan of Paranormal Activity, but knowing there is a Japanese sequal, I’m more inclined to go check that out.
Then again, I’m always more inclined to watch a Japanese horror movies over a western one.
