Yes it is a deduction for taxable income not personal, so you could also use the interest charged as a deduction against business, rental and investment income, including interest, dividends and royalties. Student loan interest is actually a tax credit not a deduction to offset taxes owing.

I heard great things about Let Me In, and the reviews were very solid (not to mention the original movie and book were fantastic), but I really thought they whiffed by not putting it out during Halloween. It definitely would have made a lot more bank had it been out in the Halloween season. And, if it’s anything like the originals, it is *very* creepy.

I saw Splice. It was okay. I gave it a 6 out of 10.

Youth in Revolt and Repo Men were okay, but I absolutely loved Let Me In. I was expecting it to be !@#$, but it turned out to be an excellent movie. I dare say that it’s almost as great as Let the Right One In. I’m shocked that it didn’t take off. Surprisingly I actually liked MacGruber. I came into the theater expecting to hate it, but it was a decent comedy and probably the best SNL film I’d seen in a while.

I’m surprised about Youth In Revolt also, that was a dang entertaining movie!

Regarding Repo Men, The last 30 minutes were brilliant, the entire twist of the plot and everything. But the thing that just made it horrible and unable to overcome the great twist ending was the world itself. Everyone and their mom in this world knew about Repo Men, and knew that it was nearly impossible to afford these things, so why would ANYONE do it, or the government allow it? None of that was explained in the least, so I ended up hating it, because the twist ending still didn’t explain the world, and so it was completely unbelievable.

I only seen 3 of the 10 splice,repo men and macgrubber

they were all ok but nothing I would buy on DVD and watch again

Repo Men is a little bit of a surprise as it had 2 strong leads, 1 of which was still riding the good publicity from Sherlock Holmes… but then again the story is pretty zany to attract a good audience.

I have not yet seen the Warriors way but from all of the trailers and info I’ve read on it I would have suspected it to do better. Really, it did the worst???

4 of the movies I seen amd thought were bad(Splice, Repo Men, Case 39, Jonah Hex).
1 I saw and thought was ok(Youth in Revolt).
3 looked too bad to watch(MacGruber, My Soul to Take, Extraordinary Measures).
1 I had a slight interest in but never got around to see(The Warrior’s Way)
1 I didn’t watch because i never got around to seeing the original first (Let me in)

That is the subjectivity of film Dave.

You don’t have to find the film brilliant to accept that someone else did.

I don’t understand how people will to to a theater to watch Jackass but I wont deny them the right to find it entertaining regardless of my opinion on it.

I am surprised to see Youth in Revolt. I didn’t expect much from that movie when I saw the trailers but it offered a lot more than I expected. Even on Rotten Tomatoes it got a 68.
