I heard a while back that even George Lucas was going for this advancement. It'll be here sometime in the future if we humans don't destroy ourselves first. Technological advancement has already surpassed things I could've dreamed of when I was a child so holographic images is not a big feat. A scientist has already built a time machine that allowed energy particles to travel back in time to when the machine was first activated. All we need now is a starship, warp drive and transporter and we're aces. Oh and a light saber or two wouldn't be bad.

There is already a working Autosteroscopic 3D Television. Problem is the tech inside makes the retail price for the set around the $25,000 area. Needless to say they aren't on the market.
