No one is saying they will still try to pass off these actors as high school, but it might be interesting to see them play older versions of themselves in the 90s. Clearly they wouldn't look at all the part.

And a "reunion" could be anything from a cameo appearance on an awards show, all together doing a skit "in character" saying where they ended up after the show ended. It doesn't mean they would make a feature film or attempt to resurrect the show.

It didn't fly because NBC didn't want it to fly -- they kept tinkering with the damn time slots and didn't do enough to make sure people knew when those slots were changing.

I don't care what the show is and how many people love it -- if you screw around with time slots, you're going to kill it.

I kind of doubt Apatow would bring it back to the extent that it's a legit project... a few minutes of a spoof isn't 'bringing it back,' and I don't see how they could turn it into a movie (or miniseries) given all the time that's passed, and obviously a tv show would be out of the question for the same reason and a whole lot more.

Let's remember that the only thing close to a tv show like this being ressurected in some form was Firefly -- with the making of the movie Serenity -- and the only reason that worked to any extent was that a) it wasn't too long in between the projects and b) timing wasn't as important, as they weren't 'high school' characters.

I'm not saying it couldn't work, but *none* of them could pass for still being in high school (except maybe the guy who played the younger brother who was a 'geek'... and even that's iffy), and do we really want to see them all grown up? Is there really a story there? I could see there being a story if they focused on one or two of the characters as a *spin-off*, but not a story that amounted to a 'reunion.'

So, if there is a 'reunion,' it's going to be getting the cast together again for some kind of spoof or documentary/mockumentary.... almost certainly not a real project, trying to make something commercially. As much as Freeks and Geeks is one of my most favorite things ever, there's really no 'there' there anymore. It'll forever be remembered as one of the biggest unforgivable sins committed by a network ever.

This is one of my all time favourite series. I got excited at first when I read this but I agree with JeffK that the ending was so good, it just felt right to end it there. And I would love to see what happened to them all, I'm not sure if it'd ruin the whole feeling of it. We'll see.

I'm torn by the news. The series had such a perfect ending, I hate to see them open it up again. On the other hand, it could be good if Apatow and all the actors are on board. Tough call.

LOVED the show. caught up on DVD. All the kids were great to watch, My favorite was the Kid that had the 85 piece drum kit in his room and would jam to mostly RUSH tunes. (kinda like me at that age) too bad it wasn't as funny the second time around with "I Love You Man".
