Is anyone else sick of hollywood cashing in on the baby boomers generation with all these crazy re-make’s…? There is a place for re-make’s don’t get me wrong…but now it’s gone overboard!!

The first one looks amazing on bluray and really, unless they hack it up and modernize it to the tone of “Charlie and the Chocolate factory” or any other Burton style what else can you really improve on?(improved to speak, cause Willy Wonka still holds up)…….Nothing?

Raimi’s is partially acceptable cause there going in thru another angle.

so if there still going forward with this one I’ll suggest…. Terry Gillam?

I am not a fan of this film and even in my eyes this is one film I think should be left alone. I am not saying any film is untouchable but I can tell you I am still p*ssed they made a remake of Willy Wonka.

This movie albeit old is a holiday tradition and is viewed and enjoyed year after year my countless millions. I would say the film is timeless and simply stating it is old is just not enough reason for remake.

When people decide this film is just to old and quit tuning in on the holidays then a remake is truly in order.

I agree with these guys Rodney. The original holds up beautifully and requires no remake. Prequels/sequels/reimaginings (i.e. The Wiz) are fine, but if the goal is remake, you simply can’t do it any better than it was in 1939.

Btw…Return to Oz is still the craziest damn thing I’ve ever seen.
