I have to disagree…The reason why these parodies work is because the Original Star Wars trillogy is so iconic. The prequels are not woven into our pop cultural fabric the same way the first films are. If they did a parody, it would just be making fun of how bad they are instead of “laughing with” Lucas (not at him) as they did for the original trillogy.

LOTR, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future…THOSE would work.

I’d LOVE for them to do the prequels. And frankly, they almost NEED to do the prequels they are so ripe for comedy pickings.

I mean, if they can get this much comedy out of the 3 movies pretty much agrees on being so great imagine what they can do with the 3 that everyone thinks are all around crazy dumb.

As much as the prequels would be funny to watch, I’d rather they go to other franchises to parody, like LotR or Indiana Jones, etc.

I think it was said that they won’t, though I’d love to see what they’d do. Maybe they’ll change their mind later, but don’t take my word for it. I’m just saying what I read somewhere. I can’t remember where. In all honesty I’d love to see them do the prequels.
