I don’t think it would really work in 3D since the whole idea of the premise is that you’re watching somebody’s home movie footage … the grainier and lower quality, the better. 3D would be way too jarring, and take the view totally out of the story. It’s the difference between the type of horror in Paranormal Activity and Saw – one’s suspense and the other’s just gore.

I think this movie could have benefitted from being made in 3D. I think the new technology we have really works well with the horror genre. It definitely helps pull in the viewer. I saw some movie called Scar 3D on demand earlier and the 3D aspect made the gore so much more intense. Made me cringe a couple times actually.

I’ll definitely be checking it out. Just not in theaters.
