Hello,

I a new here, but I like the work done here, there is so many interesting post, anyway I just want to say :
I saw XMEN origin : wolverine, and as far as I remember there is a little part of the movie after the credit where we can see deadpool alive with his mouth unshut. I thought it would be a movie deadpool following the end of X men wolverine

I agree that the events of Wolverine could be very easily explained away, and keeping in X-continuity would hold up some credibility (what little there was left, anyway).

BUT I don’t honestly think it will have any effect on the audience, or make the film more difficult to make. Deadpool hasn’t really ever had much report with the X-characters, so I honestly don’t think they’ll be missed. And keeping it away from Origins might actually increase the chances of fans who saw him mistreated to return.

In the end, though, connecting Wilson’s film with the X-titles really won’t have any aesthetic effect. As I said before, it isn’t as if there will be any reason to mention the previous films or interact with any of their characters.

It’s interesting to note that the story will have no connection to X Men Wolverine. In a way, that’s a shame. On the other hand, it does set up the fourth wall, or a joke where “the X-Men movies’ are just ‘movies’. And THIS is the real Deadpool.

Yes, NO mutants and NO connection to the X-Men storylines.

But don’t think for one second I’m on your bandwagon. I’m not.
See, I think they Should NOT ignore the events in Wolverine at all. I think it is a huge mistake, and due to that error this project is going to have an uphill battle.

Was Deadpool wasted in the Wolverine film? yes. Do I think they could explain it and correct it while being in an X-films continuity? YES. And it looks like they are not doing it. Which, to me, it might be interesting to have Deadpool “X- free” but I personally don’t think it will fly.

In reply to Jay E. While I agree that when the role calls for it Reynolds is Reynolds, he has shown that he can play different roles quite effectively when he has to. I have faith his GL won't be Deadpool in green pj's.

As long as it is not “Ryan Reynolds” playing a guy in a green suit and “Ryan Reynolds” playing a guy in a red suit it should be fine. The two characters have very different personalities, and Ryan ends up playing the same type of character in many of his movies. As long as he plays the characters as individual personalities and not just a slightly modified version of his token character (although Deadpool fits this character the best) so you can tell the two superheroes are different then I have no problem with it.

Thank Goodness he’s distancing himself from “Origins” cause that shit was weak! I Hated his Deadpool in that. F’n guy had no mouth for the motor! WTF?
