First off, I find your hypocrisy to be astounding. You try to bash Collins for her grammar and sentence structure but in your own first sentence you stumble over yourself repeatedly.

Was'nt? sentance? And you need to place a SPACE after each comma (since you are the authority on its usage) Everything you typed in the first line is completely grammatically incorrect. Jesus. Do you really have any right to criticize her work when you cant even type a coherent thought yourself??

And did you even bother to READ the book? Rue and Thresh are both described as dark skinned from the sun. Their district's primary industry is farming grain. Their residents spend most of their time working outdoors.

And its Twilight not twilite.

The book was'nt all too great, the writing for one thing was terrible,I mean really, the average sentance in the book had like 4 words, its called a comma. Also, there were little transitions throughout the story, I feel Suzanne Colins just vomitted the words on paper, then picked random spots to devide the chapters. And she doesn't describe the characters at all. Was Thresh and Rue black? Does anyone really know? And the description on Haymitch may as well have been "He had two arms, two legs, and a face."

But the story and plot were GREAT. One look at the back cover made me think, "Man I gotta read this book." It could have been such a great book, but its kind of like fast food. It fills you up, tastes pretty good, but its not fine dinning.

The movie, I feel, will be a burner. Anyone who gets there hands on the movie rights has a gold mine. Think about it, regardless on how little money you spend on it or how bad the acting is, or little time and money you spent on it, every teenager who read the book is going to see the movie, just like in twilite, just like in Eragon. You think the makers of the Eragon didn't walk away with millions despite how terrible the movie was.

I disagee, the first book is not a very good place to form an opinion on the characters. In the beginning they are shallow like you said but I believe as the books progress the characters become more accessable because you begin to understand the characters. I can't wait for the movie but I hope they don't destroy the book like they did with "Eragon" and "The Lightning Thief".

I actually hated this book. I never understood why it got mostly positive reviews. The plot felt so contrived and the whole dystopian scenario was unconvincing. The characters were also annoyingly shallow. But hey, it's just me. Maybe it will be better as a movie.
