Yes they must do this, but I really hope to Zeus they do this with style and class. I know it's a videogame, but damn, this is a high class videogame so please do it right. Also, I think they should emphasize the drama and not get swept up into making it an outright action movie. The game has so many great ideas and awe inspiring art direction.

I hope they take the time to come up with a story that shows Rapture before the fall and post fall so the audience gets a sense of what was lost. And build some characters with depth - this movie has plenty of opportunity for high quality drama and amazing action scenes. Do it right. Make this an epic for the ages. Make it the Citizen Kane of videogame movies...although there really isn't much competition at this point. ::Kicks over plant:: Write this down.

PS - I would sell my soul to direct and write this film. Just sayin'

It would be exciting to see the special effects that they would use to build Rapture. Oh and the art direction would be insane. Overall I don't think that they should be too worried about killing children. First I feel like the audience is much more receptive, children's muders have been done before. Secondly the little girls are not actual children and they don't die they are just freed from the darkness or turned into power so I am sure they would just transform into something that is not a corpse.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Bioshock film. To see a life size Big Daddy would be so wicked. If they ever did a Mass Effect film I would kind of be worried, fearing that they would destroy it and gives shiny cgi, flashing light crap on a plate.

I hope that this doesn't turn into "Doom", meaning that they just throw in a story that maybe somehow resembles the original but then fill the story with fluff and fluffy actors. Add in a little teenie horror and the typical Hollywood palette would be totally exhausted.
