Mark has been an underrated actor all right- but part of that is his ability to blend in most of his supporting and/or ensemble roles. His range is impressive, not unlike Norton. Ruffalo has shown up in rom-coms from Just Like Heaven and 13 Going on 30, but he’s also done stuff like Collateral, Zodiac,Windtalkers, and Shutter Island.

And he has been in genre films too, Blindness (which I didn’t like) and Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind (which I loved)

Interestingly, although appearing in Zodiac, I don’t think he had a scene with Robert Downey Jr.

I would not mind this bit of casting in the least.

I think it depends on how Bruce Banner is going to be protrayed. At the beginning of Hulk, Bruce was scared of becoming the green beast. At the end he seemed to be more content, borderline psycho because he seemed to want to change to the Hulk. What is Tom Cruise doing these days.

i agree…big fan of ruffalo, very underrated actor. he was superb in the brothers bloom, blindness, and shutter island. i personally thing he can add more to banner than any of the previous actors…i personally thought eric bana was a better banner than nortan, even tho ed is one of my favorite actors of all time
