I'm starting to doubt that this movie will ever be made. Or if it is, it will be greatly diminished. Eventually, Pitt will pull out as lead. Is Soderbergh still connected?

After the A-list bails, who wants to step into a damned project?

I'm betting if it gets made, it is Josh Lucas directed by John Lee Hancock!

I am always puzzled why Hollywood puts a lot of time, effort, and money into certain projects. "Moneyball" strikes me as one of those films, even though I loved the book. Is there really a huge market for this film? I felt the same way about "Prince of Persia" and the upcoming "Planet of the Apes" film. Who is DYING to see any of these? I think few people are (and that has already proven true with "Prince").
