Although Kristen Stewart has a slight resemblence to the actress who played the lead in the original, and granted I’ve only seen Stewart in the Twilight series, I don’t know if she has the screen presence and acting range to pull off the main character portrayed so well by Mylene Jampanoi in the original.

Why not just release the french one and try to help people get out of their “I can’t read subtitles” funk? I mean, Crouching Tiger did it…and not many people seemed to mind watching Inglourious Basterds with subtitles around 70% of the film. Doesn’t make sense.
