Yea, not saying Megan is remotely a great actress. But I read some comments from Mickey Rourke praising Megan on how he was so surprised by working with her and blah, blah, blah.

It may just be Mickey coming to the defense of someone who is being picked on and beat up in the press as he was when he was younger and arrogant, or it could be he sees something we don’t as of yet.

Only time will tell right?

In reply to Andy. None of the above. Stone is a kid still. Hot kid, but still a kid. Caplin just isnt pretty enough. You know they are going to go for eyecandy, but Fox is out because they need someone to lead this film which means they have to be able to act.

I quite like the idea that Refn wants to go and do a studio movie it says to me that he is up for a challenge and doesn’t just want to settle for what he knows, developing his skills.

As for Wonder Woman, well Megan Fox would be the obvious sexy choice, but then I would rather see someone like Emma Stone or Lizzy Caplan getting the chance.

In reply to Anti-Septic. Well, we all know that it's the 70s and everything has to be cheesy. But come to think of it. Linda Carter has all the physique of WW. Tall (she is 6.0ft), curvy, extremely gorgeous, relatively unknown back then. I just wish somehow whoever gonna directing it will surprise us w/ casting relatively unknown actress who at least got the features right.

I havent seen anything Refn has done but I have read raving reviews of Bronson. I’ll need to watch that soon as it his sparked my interest.

I dont think casting Wonder Woman would be as hard as everyone thinks. If you were to cast Wonder Woman today “Linda Carter” would be the last person you would pick for the role, she wasn’t very athletic and her fight scenes were pretty cheesy but we fell in love with her anyway and she is an icon today because of it.

I just think we need to be open to the idea of whomever they choose.

Agreed. I’m all for looking at attractive women but I would much rather they give priority to acting ability and fitting the Wonder Woman look over getting a hot body. I would almost like to see Charisma Carptenter (Cordellia Chase from the Buffyverse) do this role.

Refn directed one of my favorite films of last year, Bronson, which has an oscar worthy performance from Tom Hardy. I loooooved that movie. I haven’t seen his new one Valhalla Rising. Judging on Bronson though, Refn is a great director on a shoe string budget (Bronson was done with 800,000 pounds). Maybe his ambition could get the best of him, or maybe he’s ready for it. Either way, I’m in and I’d like to see it.

what do you mean by high profile? someone already making big movies or someone who has just been working consistently on smaller films?

I don’t think you already need to be making big movies. Sam Rami, Chris Nolan, Peter Jackson were all semi-known and working directors but i wouldnt say any of them were high profile until spider-man, batman, and lord of the rings.

There’s no real good Amazonian women around to play such a role as wonder woman, meaning none that just kinda radiate that (she HAS to be wonder woman vibe).

Some ideal choices so far are: (no particular order)
1.Kate Beckinsale
2.Anne Hathaway
3.Taylor Cole
4.Jessica Biel
5.Evangeline Lilly

For as Nicholas Refn, never seen a thing he’s written or directed, Reading some IMDB Message Board topics, I hear his pusher trilogy is *some* good,But he most likely won’t be directing A DC character of this level, unless down the line another reboot will take place.
