Not my “dream list” just having fun with the casting since ever since Joss was announced as the guy for the job every blog seems to be jumping to this conclusion.

I do disagree that these couldn’t fit with the rest of the actors. If handled right they could put one or two of these guys there, but for the fans if they were ALL there (wont happen) it would just be a Whedon wankfest.

I would love to see the definitive list as well. I would imagine that by name there is a list of characters that are considered X-canon such as anyone who ever held “membership” on a team… ever. But with clear exceptions such as characters that are more iconic for being on other teams.

I think Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are clearly Avengers property.

But I would love to see that list. Just to see what Fox has in their armoury, and also to see what Marvel doesn’t.

Sony’s Spiderman deal might be a little more obvious of a list, but the X-List and Avengers List are pretty obvious too.

If they do get the likes of Robert downey JR, ed norton, Chris evans, Sam Jackson, Etc. this cast would not fit in with that cast. these guys are actors who have only really made names for themselves within the whedon world or have not gone on to out do their whedon roles with anything else. And as much as I do like your list of actors, they are television stars, they just don’t fit the mold of the more serious actors that seem to already fill those roles. I guess only time will tell and we will see who they inevitably cast.

Do you know if Marvel has specific characters listed in their deals with Fox and Sony as to who is considered an “X-Men” character, and thus under Fox’s license, and who is considered an Avenger character, and thus fair game for Marvel’s own usage?

I would imagine they specifically listed each property individually, but also with some “associated characters” language.

I’d love to see those contracts!

I dont think she was in X3, and though she does have a connection in the comics as the daughter of Magneto, they can just ignore that detail as she is not part of the X-Franchise, she is a core character of the Avengers book.
