Ok I would have to say after the first Scream each one after that progressivley did go downhill....I wasnt able to keep up with it anymore and it lost its comedy. This is the first I've ever heard of someone releasing the script before the movie comes out- why release a script on a movie thats already played out?? I think this is a waste of time.

I read scripts for all sorts of movies before they ever come out -- and some never get made. I do it to 1) because I'm a writer; 2) because I need to be able to discuss and understand what's coming out from a business perspective. I'd never pay to read a script.

International Friend #1: I prefer reading Blacklist scripts (or at least their first treatments) if I can get a hand on them. But I agree with you, reading a film's script before its release is just plain weird. I'd much rather go back to a script if I like the film.....I'm a film student and they sometimes teach us to revisit bad films and try to rework them and tweak the parts that made them bad.....but no, never before a film and especially when they have to be paid for.
